Learn to Curl - Part I
Learn to Curl - Part I provides a basic introduction to the sport. Participants will learn the basics of how to deliver the stone, sweeping, rules and etiquette, as well as give you an opportunity to play a short game. Your session will end with traditional 'broomstacking', or post-game socializing where you can find out more about our club and the programs we offer.
Learn to Curl - Part II
The Learn to Curl - Part II (taken after any Learn to Curl) provides an opportunity to practice the curling delivery with a qualified instructor. The 2-hour session focuses on improving balance, delivery mechanics, line of delivery and sweeping through skill-based drills. This course will give you everything you need to feel confident in taking the Learn to Curl Part III, joining a 4-week mini league, or joining a regular league.
Learn to Curl - Part III
The Learn to Curl - Part III (taken after any Learn to Curl part II) is designed to give a basic introduction into strategy and skipping to begin to develop your understanding of this part of the game. Through on and off ice instruction, the 1.5 hour session will examine the foundations of reading ice, broom placement, shot choice, strategy and tactics. While only an introduction, the course will give an understanding of why specific shots are called improving your enjoyment of the game.
Introduction to Curling
This is an introductory league for new curlers who have completed the Learn to Curl - Part I or more. Friends and family can be kept together if desired (up to 4 per team) and teams will compete against one another every week. Players will rotate positions each week to experience all aspects of the game. Leagues will be 2.5 hours long starting with a 30 min directed practice session followed by a 4-end game all overseen by a qualified instructor.
