YIACBWECYCIM (the "YAK") 2026
Once per year, Colonial Curling holds an informal bonspiel that is designed to provide a friendly environment where both new and experienced curlers can compete against curlers from other clubs. This bonspiel, the 'YAK', usually takes place during the late Spring or early Summer.
The details for this year's YAK are listed below:
- Date: Saturday, May 16th, 2026

Make it a Double (Open Doubles)
Colonial Curling is pleased to be hosting "Make it a Double", an Open Doubles Bonspiel.
This bonspiel will be open to 32 teams, who will play in two brackets: a 16-team "competitive" bracket for experienced doubles curlers and a 16-team "recreational" bracket for doubles curlers of all skill levels.
Our ice crew will be working hard to make conditions as close to dedicated ice as is possible in an arena setting.
- Dates: 05/28/26 to 05/31/26
- Where: Worcester Ice Center (112 Harding Street, Worcester, MA)
- What: Open doubles bonspiel. Three-game guarantee, round robin/pool format. Gameplay will follow USA Curling mixed doubles tournament rules. Further details to be provided to registrants.
